Instructions: A minimum fast of 8 hours is required, with a maximum of 12 hours, avoid physical exercise, avoid drinking alcohol and tobacco 24 hours prior to sample extraction,  collect a urine sample in a sterile bottle, the ideal sample is the first urine of the day usually in the morning, however, a collection can be made when the patient has not urinated for a period of 4 hours after which,  the patient then collects the first urine after that four hour period. The sample must be sent to the Laboratory within the first 2 hours after collection. Results are delivered within 24 hours.
